  21. echo     │    compatible" message when copying from a 48 Track Per         │
  22. echo     │    Inch (TPI) diskette to a 48 TPI diskette in a 96 TPI       │

  25. echo     │    DISKCOPY also incorrectly allows a diskcopy from a       │
  26. echo     │    5.25" diskette to a 3.5" diskette.  This produces 40         │
  27. echo     │    track diskettes which cannot be read on the IBM PC       │

  30. echo     │    BASIC and BASICA do not provide proper cursor control       │
  31. echo     │    with the Enhanced keyboards.                   │

  33. echo     │    COMMAND.COM - Some users have encountered the message       │
  34. echo     │    "Fatal stack error / System halted".  This message is        │
  35. echo     │    caused by the fact that DOS has not provided enough       │
  36. echo     │    stack space to handle the number of interrupts           │
  37. echo     │    encountered.                           │

  60. echo     │    that came with the DOS 3.20 package.  This file is to       │
  61. echo     │    fix a problem with the PC-LAN network using SHARE and       │

  80. echo     │    The driver, FMTDRVR.SYS, supplied on this diskette       │
  81. echo     │    insures proper operation of the DOS Version 3.20           │
  82. echo     │    FORMAT command when formatting 320 KB or 360 KB           │
  83. echo     │    diskettes in a 1.2 MB diskette drive with the /4 or       │
  84. echo     │    /8 options.  The systems affected are:               │
  85. echo     │                                   │
  86. echo     │             PC AT Model 339                   │
  87. echo     │             PC XT Model 286                   │
  88. echo     │                                   │
  89. echo     │    The next time you start DOS, the driver (when loaded)       │
  90. echo     │    will display a message informing you of whether or       │
  91. echo     │    not the driver code was actually loaded.    The only       │
  92. echo     │    time the driver will load itself, is when you are        │
  93. echo     │    using the systems identified above.               │
  94. echo     │                                   │
  95. echo     │    The installation program places the following command       │
  96. echo     │    in the CONFIG.SYS file:                       │

  106. echo     │    This diskette contains some DOS modules necessary to update  │
  107. echo     │    your copy of DOS.  Please perform the following steps to       │
  108. echo     │    apply the fixes properly.                    │
  109. echo     │   TWO DRIVE SYSTEM                           │
  110. echo     │      1. Using DOS    "DISKCOPY" create a backup copy of your    │
  111. echo     │         original DOS diskette.                   │
  112. echo     │      2. Insert your backup of DOS (created in step 1) into    │
  113. echo     │         the B drive.                       │
  114. echo     │      3. Insert the fix diskette into drive A:           │
  115. echo     │      4. Execute the install program by entering the command   │
  116. echo     │         "A:INSTALL B:".                                       │
  117. echo     │      5. When finished remove diskettes from drives, label       │
  118. echo     │         your new dos diskette appropriately (so that you       │
  119. echo     │         know that this diskette has the required fixes       │
  120. echo     │         applied).                           │
